The Open is four Swiss-paired rounds of Game 40/5d.
The tournament allows non-UEC teams to compete too, though they may be put in their own team section. The open section will have players mixed between the UEC and non-UEC teams. "If entered, "teamless" open players will be in their own awards group.
*Including non-UEC teams is an annual decision, usually made in early December at the UEC Activities Summit.
