English / Language Arts & Library Media
Independent Reading
We would like children to celebrate reading and enjoy this wonderful pastime. Stay engaged this summer with the great, new titles we have available through our Glastonbury Public Schools libraries!
Participate in our Summer Reading "Inquiry" at GW! With an author visit scheduled for September, we're asking ALL incoming 6th grade students to seek the answer to this question: WHO IS JACK GANTOS? Read one of his books or watch a quirky interview! Either way, be ready to answer the question when you arrive to your Gr. 6 ELA classroom in August. For recommendations and more details, visit our GW Library Media websites!
Enjoy a good eBook or audiobook on Sora. Just log in with your school account. (TIP: Watch this quick tutorial on logging in and browsing.)
Visit our Library Media Independent Reading pages (GW & SMS) for book lists and recommendations.

Mathematics
Math Problem for All Ages!
Pickleball Tournament
Kenny, Abby, and Ned got together for a round-robin pickleball tournament, where, as usual, the winner stays on after each game to play the person who sat out that game. At the end of their pickleball afternoon, Abby is exhausted, having played the last seven straight games. Kenny, who is less winded, tallies up the games played:
Kenny played eight games
Abby played 12 games
Ned played 14 games
Who won the fourth game against whom?
