Independent Reading

We would like children to celebrate reading and enjoy this wonderful pastime.  Stay engaged this summer with the great, new titles we have available through our Glastonbury Public Schools libraries!

Literacy Practice

• CommonLit is a free digital tool that helps students in grades 9-12 make measurable gains in reading and writing.  Your children are familiar with the CommonLit's site.  It is used across grade 9-12 English/Language Arts classrooms.  

Summer extension classes have been created to help students progress in reading and writing in preparation for next year.   Click this link for a quick tutorial on how to access the summer extension classes.  After logging into CommonLit,  please enter the respective class code for your child's upcoming grade:

Math Problem for All Ages!

Pickleball Tournament

Kenny, Abby, and Ned got together for a round-robin pickleball tournament, where, as usual, the winner stays on after each game to play the person who sat out that game.  At the end of their pickleball afternoon, Abby is exhausted, having played the last seven straight games.  Kenny, who is less winded, tallies up the games played:

Kenny played eight games

Abby played 12 games

Ned played 14  games
