Grab your pieces of Lego and get started with making a fun marble run! You could make one path that will work to get to the finish or there could be a few.
Good luck!
There are three parts to this activity. First draw an outline of a letter. Underneath repeat the same letter for tracing. Lastly, leave another space just for independent writing. Please refer to the above example.
Use a handful of basic bricks to fill in the outline of the letter.
Once you have made the letter with LEGO bricks, move on to tracing over the letter written underneath!
Take those tracing skills to the next level and try to write the same letter without one to trace!
How many ways can you make the number 10 using your Lego? show your work by drawing a picture in your learning journal and add the number sentence. eg. 6+4=10
If you need a challenge try bigger numbers such as 15 or 20.
First, stack up your tower. Then, roll the dice.
Take off that number of bricks, and then count how many you have left. I work with my students on saying either the equation or talking through the math language. For example: “I had 10 bricks, I took off 2, and now I have 8.”
You could even have them write equations for each roll to extend the learning!
Keep rolling and removing bricks until there are none left. The first person to unstack them all is the winner!
Play again, or increase the number for a longer game!

Ten Frame LEGO® Build Challenge- Challenge your master builder to make a ten frame.
Ten Frame Games
Roll the dice or flip a card and that determines the first number. You can find virtual dice online, use a normal dice, a 10 sided dice, or flip a card over using only numbers 2-9 and Ace is 1. Place that many bricks into the ten frame using one colour. How many more do you need to make 10?
Roll the dice again and add that many bricks for math fact practice. The activity can also be done for subtraction: Start with ten bricks in all the spaces. Roll the dice and remove that many bricks. How many are left?
