Scholarship Eligibility:
The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
Students must be enrolled in a vocational program or two to five-year post-secondary institution for the upcoming semester.
Any employees of Largey Law, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), or persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the competition.
Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and good overall academic standing.
Application Requirements:
The candidate must submit a 750-1,000 word essay response to the prompt: Describe how you or someone you know has faced a traumatic event and found a way to overcome the struggle to better shape themselves.
The candidate must submit a professional resumé that lists their professional and academic experience.
The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school and the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students must also submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.

The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, workshops to learn important life skills not typically covered in the college curriculum, funds to purchase college essentials, an HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage in order to learn how to invest, funds to study and travel abroad, and the opportunity to apply for a Hagan Graduate Scholarship good for up to four additional semesters in college.
Applicants must attend a public, private, charter, magnet, or STEM high school located in the United States and be in the high school graduating class. Recipients of a Hagan Scholarship must enroll in an eligible four-year or higher college or university the first fall semester following high school graduation. Applicants must have achieved an unweighted 3.50 GPA based on a 4.0 Grading Scale. Parents Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2024 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. The Hagan Scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college, junior college, or online institution.

Who is Eligible?
For the 2026 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2023, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2023, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2026. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
The applicant must be a high school senior.
The applicant must apply online only. The 2025 Legacy Awards application deadline is February 2, 2026, 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time.
If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must apply through the parent's Elks Lodge.
We have waived the standardized test requirement for the 2026 Legacy contest. You do not need to submit ACT and/or SAT scores.

Who is Eligible?
Annette Phelps Lincoln Scholarship- Graduating high school seniors to use to in securing education in the Teaching or Library Professions at an Ohio college or university.
Art Scholarship- A graduating high school senior who will attend an accredited college, university, or art school in Ohio. An ORIGINAL piece of art must be submitted when the application is submitted.
Elaine Weinman Memorial Scholarship- A graduating high school senior for use in securing an education beyond high school in the field of Communications, limited to radio, television, drama, speech or journalism, from an accreditied Ohio college, university, or technical school.
Ehtel G. Swanbeck Allied Health Scholarship- A graduating high school senior pursuing a course in the study of an Allied Health Field at an Ohio college or university of the student's choice. The applicant my use the scholarship for a degree as a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, veterinarian, X-ray technician, laboratory technician, etc.
Juniorette Scholarship- A graduating high school senior who is at least a 3-year member of a Juniorette club federated in the GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs.
Clubwoman Scholarship- Clubwomen who need additional education or training to join or advance in the work force or to provide for themselves and/or their families. A minimum of 3 years membership in a General or Junior club federated in the GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs is required. There is a separate application for general and junior clubwomen.

Permanent resident status in Trumbull County.
Excelled academically with an overall minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (based on a maximum of 4.0) or its equivalent. The nominee shall be evaluated upon all academic work completed through the first semester of their senior year in high school.
Performed with distinction in terms of leadership, volunteerism, character, and positive attitude serving as an example to fellow students as a participant in the community, charity and school related activities. The amount of participation shall be weighted equally with the degree of academic performance.
Signified the intention to continue academic work beyond the high school level.
Been acceped as a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school for the upcoming fall semester. For the purpose of this scholarship, "full-time student" shall be defined as a student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, or the equivalent, in a school term.

Trumbull County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Eligibility:
Please read all of the information on the website before starting the application.
Applicant, or their parent/stepparent/legal guardian, must be a current Trumbull County Farm Bureau member at the time of application or at the time of scholarship payout.
Applicants must provide proof of enrollment in a two- or four-year degree program.
Applicants must be considered full-time students by their college, university, or technical school.
Applicants may reapply each year, but are limited to receiving a maximum of two Trumbull County Farm Bureau scholarships.
A major in agriculture or a support field is preferred but not required.
Must complete two essays and submit with application, along with transcript, and letters of recommendation. Have all of this ready before starting the application on the website!

Requirements:
Graduation from Girard High School with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (based upon a maximum scale of 4.0)
Successful completion of a core curriculum of at least 11 academic full year courses including at least 4 English, 4 mathematics, 3 in social sciences, and 3 in natural or physical sciences (one of which must include a laboratory class).
Achieve an 800 combined score on the SAT verbal and math section or an 18 composite on the ACT.
Intention to pursue high education as evidenced by acceptance to an accredited educational institution.
Demonstration of above average athletic ability and success.
Demonstration of qualities of leadership, character and citizenship within the school and/or community.
Completion of all sections of the written application and willingness to meet with the Hall of Fame selection committee if selected as a finalist.

Must reside in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Portage, or Trumbull counties
Must be pursuing education and certification in one of the following public safety fields: emergency medical services, firefighting, or law enforcement
Must have intentions to enroll in, or have applied to, or have been accepted by a recognized public safety institution or training program in Northeast Ohio or the Ohio Fire Academy during the year applied for.
All completed applications, including essays, and verification materials must be received by April 1 of the award year. Late applications will not be accepted.
