Scholarship Eligibility:
The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
Students must be enrolled in a vocational program or two to five-year post-secondary institution for the upcoming semester.
Any employees of Largey Law, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), or persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the competition.
Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and good overall academic standing.
Application Requirements:
The candidate must submit a 750-1,000 word essay response to the prompt: Describe how you or someone you know has faced a traumatic event and found a way to overcome the struggle to better shape themselves.
The candidate must submit a professional resumé that lists their professional and academic experience.
The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school and the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students must also submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.
The 2025 Overcoming the Impossible Scholarship recipient will be chosen during the month following the scholarship deadline.

The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, workshops to learn important life skills not typically covered in the college curriculum, funds to purchase college essentials, an HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage in order to learn how to invest, funds to study and travel abroad, and the opportunity to apply for a Hagan Graduate Scholarship good for up to four additional semesters in college.
Applicants must attend a public, private, charter, magnet, or STEM high school located in the United States and be in the high school graduating class. Recipients of a Hagan Scholarship must enroll in an eligible four-year or higher college or university the first fall semester following high school graduation. Applicants must have achieved an unweighted 3.50 GPA based on a 4.0 Grading Scale. Parents Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2024 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. The Hagan Scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college, junior college, or online institution.

There are several different scholarship opportunities from the YSU Foundation. Each has it's own requirements. Below are a few examples. Check out this link for more info. A student must be accepted to YSU and plan to attend YSU for the 26-27 academic year to qualify for any of these scholarships.
President's Scholarship: Up to $4,000 per academic year for four years, requiring a 3.0 GPA and a 27 ACT/1290 SAT score.

Who is Eligible?
For the 2026 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2023, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2023, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2026. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
The applicant must be a high school senior.
The applicant must apply online only. The 2025 Legacy Awards application deadline is February 2, 2026, 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time.
If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must apply through the parent's Elks Lodge.
We have waived the standardized test requirement for the 2026 Legacy contest. You do not need to submit ACT and/or SAT scores.
Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student wins more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. Students can accept local and state scholarships, which are separate from the awards at the national level.
Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. (Note: Applicants from Guam, Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)

Who is Eligible?
Annette Phelps Lincoln Scholarship- Graduating high school seniors to use to in securing education in the Teaching or Library Professions at an Ohio college or university.
Art Scholarship- A graduating high school senior who will attend an accredited college, university, or art school in Ohio. An ORIGINAL piece of art must be submitted when the application is submitted.
Elaine Weinman Memorial Scholarship- A graduating high school senior for use in securing an education beyond high school in the field of Communications, limited to radio, television, drama, speech or journalism, from an accreditied Ohio college, university, or technical school.
Ehtel G. Swanbeck Allied Health Scholarship- A graduating high school senior pursuing a course in the study of an Allied Health Field at an Ohio college or university of the student's choice. The applicant my use the scholarship for a degree as a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, veterinarian, X-ray technician, laboratory technician, etc.
Juniorette Scholarship- A graduating high school senior who is at least a 3-year member of a Juniorette club federated in the GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs.
Clubwoman Scholarship- Clubwomen who need additional education or training to join or advance in the work force or to provide for themselves and/or their families. A minimum of 3 years membership in a General or Junior club federated in the GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs is required. There is a separate application for general and junior clubwomen.
