By running your document camera through your Chromebook and mirroring your Chromebook to the ViewBoard using vivi, you can move freely around the classroom while presenting and annotating documents.

Document Camera (connected via USB to your Chromebook)
ViewSonic ViewBoard with vivi screen-sharing enabled
IPEVO Visualizer App installed on your Chromebook
Step 1: Connect hardware & Launch App
Plug the USB cable from your IPEVO document camera directly into your Chromebook.
Open the IPEVO Visualizer app on your Chromebook.
Place your document under the camera lens. You should see the live feed displayed on your Chromebook screen.
Step 2: Share Your Chromebook Screen
Open Chrome.
Navigate to app.vivi.io.
Sign in with your Gilmer County Schools Google account.
Select your classroom.
Click Share Screen.
Choose Window if you only want to share the document camera application, or Entire Screen if you plan to switch between applications during instruction.
Click Share.
Your document camera will now appear on the ViewSonic ViewBoard.
Step 3: Annotate & Interact
You have two ways to annotate and present during your lesson:
Option A: From your Chromebook (Mobility Mode)
Use your Chromebook stylus or touchscreen within the IPEVO Visualizer app.
Use built-in digital tools such as the Reading/Highlight Bar, Blackout Bar, or Pen/Annotation tools to write on the document.
All changes will show up in real-time on the ViewBoard.
Option B: From the ViewBoard (Front of Class)
Walk up to the ViewBoard and open the side toolbar menu.
Select the ViewBoard Annotation Tools (pens, highlighters).
Write or highlight directly on the screen over the mirrored Chromebook feed.
Tip: You can still write on physical paper with a pen under the camera lens—students will see physical handwriting as well as digital annotations simultaneously!
