Using standard screen mirroring to show videos or heavy media can sometimes cause lag, stuttering, or audio/video sync issues.
The Play Content feature bypasses standard mirroring by streaming videos directly from the web or playing local media directly through the classroom display box, ensuring smooth playback and synchronized audio.
Open the Vivi app on your laptop, desktop, or mobile device.
Select your organization/school, select your classroom, and click Join Room.
On the main Vivi dashboard, locate and click on Play Content from the left navigation menu or home screen.
You can play video or media in three ways:
Option A: Play an Online Video (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
Copy the web link (URL) of the video you want to play.
Paste the link into the "Paste video or audio links here" box in the Vivi app.
Click Play Link(s) to start streaming immediately, or click Add to Queue if you want to set up multiple videos in advance.
Option B: Play a Local Video/File from Your Computer
Click on Play Content.
Drag and drop the media file (video, audio, image, PDF, or PowerPoint) directly into the Vivi app drop zone.
Vivi will process the file in a few seconds and begin playback.
Option C: Play Media from Google Drive
In the Play Content menu, select Google Drive.
Sign in to your Google account if prompted.
Browse your files, select the video or slide deck, and click Add to Queue or Play.
Once the video starts playing, playback controls will appear at the bottom of your Vivi app screen:
Pause / Resume: Use the controls at the bottom to pause and resume playback.
Scrubbing: Drag the slider along the green timeline bar to fast-forward or rewind.
Mini Player: Click the Mini Player icon (bottom right) so you can minimize Vivi and continue working on your computer while the video plays on the display.
Stop: Click Stop to end the video playback and return to the Vivi home screen.
