Absence & Illness
- Fever of 100 degrees or higher
- Diarrhea/vomiting/discharge from eyes/ears/nose
- Must be “illness free” without medication for 24 hours before returning
- Notify us if your child has any contagious of communicable diseases

- We will give child clothes to change into
- Bowel Movement Accidents (AZDHS)
- We will call you to change your child
Dress

- Send child in comfortable clothing - “dress for a mess!”
- Shorts for girls under skirts/dresses
- Closed toe shoes for safety: No sandals, heels, flip flops (even with straps)

- Parent must sign in/out with full first and last name (AZDHS)
- No initials
- Must be legible
- Help your child write their name in the Preschooler Sign In binder
- Help your child find their name and pick a shape group
- Drop off child’s lunchbox, if needed
End of Day Procedures

- Check Child's Artwork Folder
- Check Child’s Cubby
- If needed: bring home soiled clothes, clean out cubby
- Bring home lunch box, if needed
- Sign out: full first and last name signature (AZDHS)
- Ask your child to tell you about their day!

- Every Friday children will participate in show and tell
First Day Tips
First Day Tips
- Prior to coming talk about TOYBOX procedures with your child
- Plan to spend a few extra minutes when dropping your child off on their first day
- If your child has a hard time separating…
- Give them a hug
- Let them know when you will return: “Mommy/Daddy will see you after your nap time.”
- Then make your departure.
- Favorite toys – Please keep all toys at home unless it is your child’s turn for show and tell or their nap buddy
- Treat preschool as a celebratory event
