Welcome to Global Academy!
Global Academy is a program embedded into each of our GPS junior high and high schools. We offer over 200 online courses to students from 7th-12th grade. Students are expected to gain about 5% progress in each class, each week, which includes about 5 hours of work, including reading lessons, doing quizzes and activities, and taking exams.

How to Enroll:
There are two ways to enroll at Global Academy:
Full-time online students take all of their GPS courses online and have no in-person classes on a GPS campus.
Concurrently-enrolled online students take one or more in-person classes in addition to their online classes.
➡️What does is concurrent enrollment at Global Academy?
One way to take part in these classes is to be concurrently enrolled. Students currently taking classes at a "brick and mortar" campus may opt to take courses online in addition to their normal class load. This is called concurrently enrolling, since the student would be enrolled at GPS Global Academy in addition to their home GPS school.
Concurrent enrollment is for you if:
You have one or more in-person classes on your schedule at a GPS junior high or high school
You'd like to add online class(es) to your schedule, and you will be doing them on your own, at home (or anywhere in the United States).
All decisions regarding distance learning should be discussed with your campus counselor. These courses are not for everyone!

➡️How do I apply for full-time enrollment at Global Academy?
Full-time online learning requires strong independent work ethic coupled with well-developed academic skills. Applications are reviewed for overall academic ability, progress toward graduation, and previous online success.

Full-time online enrollment is for you if:
You wish to take all of your classes on your own, at home (or anywhere in the United States), but wish to remain connected to your brick-and-mortar campus for dances, games and other important school activities.
You have a plan - or are ready for help developing one - to work your learning time around your other activities and responsibilities to ensure you can devote 5 hours and gain 5% progress in each class, each week.
You are motivated to learn at your own pace, leaving no stone unturned and no text-feature unexamined in each of your classes.
Note: This is an application process. Applications are reviewed for overall academic ability, progress toward graduation, and previous online success. Qualified students go through several steps in the enrollment process that span over 3-5 days. Please do not withdraw from your current campus - we will handle any approved transfers for you in the background.

Applying for full-time online enrollment:
Visit the Global Academy Enrollment web page and choose either the link for a new or existing GPS family.
Complete a new Online Registration form (OLR), choosing Global Academy as your selected campus, and then choosing your home-school connection below.
Please do not withdraw from your brick-and-mortar school prior to enrollment completion - you will maintain your connection to that campus, and we handle the transfer to full-time online behind the scenes.
Upon acceptance, students will recieve links to complete online orientation, and parents will need to schedule an in-person onboarding meeting. You'll get this info via email. Once fully enrolled, you'll learn how to request your online courses via the IC app.
