Important notes:
To receive credit in an online course, students must pass their final with a score of 60% or better. Final exams are challenging and represent application of the lessons and learning in each class. Students who are successful have read and taken notes in the lessons and have spent time in the interactive activities. While some students have moved faster through the course by skipping the reading and using Google to help with activities and assignments, they usually have not been able to pass the final. Please take these courses seriously, use the lesson slides to do the assignments, and study well before the final exam.
Students taking courses for a grade replacement must take the same course as the original. For example, to replace a grade in an Honors level class, the same Honors course must be selected at Global.
We encourage you to challenge yourself to Honors level courses. They are available in English (7th grade through English II), Math, Science and Modern Language for all students. Honors English III and IV are reserved for Full-Time Global Academy student only.

BT174OA THEATRE, CINEMA, AND FILM PRODUCTION This course introduces students to the dynamic world of theatre and film production, emphasizing the artistic, technical, and collaborative processes involved. Students will analyze theatrical and cinematic works, examining how historical, cultural, and social influences shape storytelling and themes. The curriculum includes script analysis, directing, design, and production techniques, providing practical experience in staging and filmmaking. Through critical viewing, writing, planning, and performance, students will gain an appreciation for the creative and organizational elements that bring theatre and film to life.
Available for Grades 9-12; .5 credits; counts as Fine Arts in Grad Plan
