Ms. Maresca

Hello!

My name is Ms. Maresca and I am so excited to start the 2025-2026 school year! This year will be my 4th year teaching at Gilbert and I am so excited! Before coming to Gilbert, I was a 4th grade teacher in the Greene County CSD in Jefferson, IA. I graduated from Iowa State (Go Cyclones!) in the spring of 2021 with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I also hold two master's degrees in the field of education. I have a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Arts degree in K-6 Math Education.

This school year I will be teaching math and science in the 2-way switch. I am really passionate when it comes to the areas of STEM. In school, my favorite subjects were math and science so I feel this is the perfect spot for me to be in my teaching career!

In my free time, I love to travel, paint, get outside, and cheer on the Cyclones in football and basketball. I also have two dogs, Charlie and Miles, who are my whole world.

A goal I have for this school year is to build a special and unique relationship with each of my students and create a learning environment where everyone feels welcome, included, and successful!
