Social Studies

Year at a glance..

The social studies curriculum covers the following units in depth:

• Iowa Railroads

• Economics

• The Great Depression

• Iowa Agriculture

Students also spend the first few weeks of the year learning about maps and diagrams. They are encouraged to work on learning states and capitals if they finish work early, as this is no longer a requirement for 4th grade!
