Changes for 2024
We don’t have a lot of changes to our benefits this year, and our commitment to taking care of you and yours never changes. Here's what is changing for 2024.
Aetna Health Saver
The annual in-network deductibles (that’s what you pay for care before the plan starts sharing costs) in this option are increasing from $3,000 to $3,200 if you cover yourself and from $6,000 to $6,400 if you cover any dependents. We’ve made these changes due to mandatory inflation adjustments from the IRS.
The amount you can contribute to your Health Savings Account (HSA) in this option is increasing, per IRS guidelines. You will be able to contribute up to $4,150 to your HSA if you only cover yourself and $8,300 if you cover your family. (If you’re 55 and older in 2024, you can contribute an additional $1,000 as a catch-up contribution.)
CVS Caremark Cost Saver
Aetna members will have access to Cost Saver, powered by GoodRx, which provides automatic access to GoodRx’s prescription pricing to receive lower prices, when available, on generic medications. Just present your Aetna ID card at your preferred in-network pharmacy and save, no further action is required.
PrudentRx
We’re excited to be introducing PrudentRx for prescription coverage to the Aetna Health Saver plan. Through this program, now available in all our Aetna plans, certain specialty medications are generally available at no cost to you through manufacturer assistance.
Participating members must fully satisfy their deductible before they are eligible for a $0 out-of-pocket cost, unless the member has been prescribed a medication that qualifies as “preventive care” under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) (which is administered and enforced by the IRS).
You may be automatically enrolled in the Program but you can opt out. If you remain in the Program, you will fill your prescriptions as you normally would and you will be contacted regarding manufacturer assistance. If you opt out, the cost of the drugs offered through the program is subject to a 30% coinsurance. The manufacturer assistance received, application fees paid, or the 30% coinsurance (if you opt out) are generally not applied to the deductible or out-of-pocket maximum, except in limited circumstances.
Teladoc
Teladoc provides Aetna members convenient, low cost, 24/7 access to physicians by phone or video conference for general medical issues, dermatology and behavioral health counseling.
Some of the Teladoc consult fees for 2024 will be increasing slightly. Aetna Advantage and Aetna Select Teladoc copays remain unchanged. See below for those fees:
