Accounts

Depending on which medical plan you choose, you can also have an account to help you save on health care expenses.

As a reminder, you must enroll each year to participate in the spending and health savings accounts. Your elections do not roll over from the previous year.

If you enroll in Aetna Advantage or Aetna Select, you can choose a Health Care Spending Account.

If you enroll in Aetna Health Saver, you can choose a Health Savings Account.

If you elect the Health Saver plan and a Health Savings Account (HSA) for 2024, but you have a balance in your Health Care Savings Account (HCSA) on the last day of 2023, you will not be eligible to contribute to the HSA until April 1, 2024, regardless of when you use your HCSA balance.

* To receive the Company contribution, enroll in the Payflex HSA. The Payflex HSA is not maintained or sponsored by the Company and is not subject to ERISA.

** Minimum balance requirements may apply.

Don't forget the Dependent Care Spending Account!

You can also open a Dependent Daycare Spending Account to save money on daycare expenses for your dependents. The DCSA reimburses eligible dependent daycare (not health care) expenses up to $5,000 per year. DCSA elections for those earning over $120,000/year are limited to $4,500 to ensure the plan passes nondiscrimination tests.  This account is use it or lose it, which means you must use what you put in by March 15, 2025, or you will lose any remaining funds.
