Supplemental & Intensive Tiers

The Supplemental and Intensive Tiers guide (formerly Intervention System) was developed to support implementation of an MTSS framework through the use of Collaborative Inquiry Questions. The guide addresses both system level and individual learner needs.  There are currently two main sections: The Data Protocol and Supplemental and Intensive Tiers guide

The Data Protocol is a form that teams can use to record data from their Healthy Indicators: (1) Percent of students below benchmark receiving intervention and (2) Percent of student receiving intervention making meaningful gains.  Data from the protocol, conversations with all staff, review of previously collected data, and potentially other information may be used to identify barriers and prioritize future actions.

The Supplemental and Intensive Tiers guide is intended to support teams as they assign, implement, monitor and evaluate supplemental and intensive interventions.

The Supplemental and Intensive Tiers website offers an online option for teams to navigate the Intervention including the Data Protocol, the Guide and supporting resources. These tools are to support your work in using a collaborative inquiry approach to implementation of MTSS.
