Action Planning

ESSA requires states to support a school-level action plan based the results of the Resource Allocation Review, Data Review and Self-Assessment of MTSS Implementation.  To address this requirement, all schools identified in need of Comprehensive, Extended Comprehensive, Targeted or Extended Targeted Support and Improvement are required to complete an Action plan in Year One: Planning (first year of designation), and review/revisit in subsequent years.

Online module: Year One: Planning (first year of designation).  This self-paced online module is for local team use at Iowa Learning Online Professional Development (https://ilopd.iowa.gov/).  To create an account:

1. Access https://ilopd.iowa.gov/, and  select Create New Account 

2. Enter your email 

3. Create a password

4. Look for an email from ilopd to confirm your new account

5. Once confirmed, you may enroll in ESSA courses.

Action Plan Submission

The ESSA Action Plan must be submitted in the Consolidated Application for Support and Accountability (CASA), which is a secure application under the Iowa Education Portal. Instructions for CASA access can be found on the CASA web page.  Please note that a team member with building level access to CASA will be required submit.
