Maintaining emotional wellness is very important to one's overall well-being.   Every day, individuals may experience events or situations that create anxiety and stress.    Although stress is common and can be positive in nature, it becomes problematic when it makes you feel overwhelmed and continues for a long period of time.  Taking care of your emotional health is just as important as your physical health.  


If your child(ren) may need mental health support there are professionals that can provide support at their school, such as school counselors, school psychologists, mental health specialists and school social workers. Any trusted adult at your child's school, like a teacher, counselor or an administrator, will be able to help you connect to school based mental health support. 

GGUSD also many wonderful community partners who can provide support to anyone who is feeling emotionally unwell. Please refer to the list below for community agencies that will be able to offer you support and guidance:

Care Solace provides direct assistance for finding the right mental health support for you. A Care Solace team member will support you in every step of the process from screening mental health providers by location or type of support to booking your first appointment. OC-LINKS provides one-on-one support to support you with information and referrals for behavioral and mental health services in Orange County. A phone call is the preferred over an email. OC-LINKS provides language support.

Pathways

Pathways is a community agency that works directly with children and families to provide individual or family counseling as needed. Pathways' consultants are available  Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA) is dedicated to enhancing the health, and social and economic well-being of Asians and Pacific Islanders in Orange County, California. Suicide Prevention

GGUSD recognizes that suicide prevention is a critically important issue for all of our students, staff, and families. At times, students may need support to manage thoughts of suicide or other strong emotions. 

At the school, there are professionals that can provide support directly such as school counselors, school psychologists and school social workers.  In addition, any trusted adult at school, like a teacher or administrator, will be able to help with connecting you to additional resources. The Crisis Assessment Team provides 24-hour, 7 days a week  mobile response services to any child or adult experiencing a mental health crisis. Parents can call to consult with an expert if a mental health crisis is occurring.
