Tutorial Expectations
Students are expected to be productive and work diligently throughout the entire tutorial period. See below for suggested tutorial activities.
Students who need one-on-one support from me need to let me know and sit at the middle table.
Students are required to signup using 5Star in order to attend.
Per the syllabus, students who are using tutorial to socialize or are not productive will receive a warning on the first offense. The second offense will result in a student being given an assigned seat near the teacher. The third offense may result in a temporary ban from Mrs. Lowry's tutorial and a lunch detention. Students who are temporarily banned from tutorial will need to seek help before school, at lunch, or after school. Additional offenses will result in a referral to the assistant principal and a phone call home.
- Complete missing assignments, quizzes, or tests
- Ask for help on challenging material or assignments
- Practice Grammar with NoRedInk or Chomp Chomp
- Study by rereading and annotating your notes
- Complete a CAASPP IAB or SAT practice test
- Expand your vocabulary
- Complete extra practice with IXL
- Learn new Google tech skills

- Work on homework or projects
- Read an independent reading novel
- Revise an essay or FWA paragraph
- Complete a practice writing prompt
- Tutor a peer
