Beginning in August 2025, she will pursue her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree at the University of Texas at Austin, following the completion of both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Flute Performance at the New England Conservatory under the mentorship of renowned pedagogues.
She has distinguished herself in numerous international and national competitions, earning top honors including First Prize at the Upper Midwest Flute Association (UMFA) Young Artist Competition in 2025, and additional First Prizes from the Hong Kong International Competition, the Korea Mozart Competition, and the Daegu Music Association Competition. Her commanding artistry also earned her the Grand Prize in the Woodwind Division of the Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra Competition, as well as a Fourth Prize at the prestigious Donald Peck International Flute Competition. In 2024, she was awarded a full scholarship to the Orford Music Festival in Canada, recognizing her excellence as a rising soloist.
Her performance career spans North America and Asia, with recent concert highlights including a solo flute recital at Williams Hall (NEC) in 2025, a flute duo recital with Youngmi Kim in South Korea in 2024, and a chamber music recital in Canada featuring flute, cello, and piano — a program that showcased her sensitivity in ensemble collaboration and musical storytelling. She also appeared in a flute duo recital during her time in Canada, further highlighting her passion for intimate musical dialogue and artistic partnership. She has been featured in chamber and duo recitals across Canada, and has performed actively with the New England Conservatory’s symphony, opera, wind ensemble, and chamber music ensembles since 2021. Her early debut as a concerto soloist with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in 2015, after winning the orchestra's concerto competition, marked her as a prodigious talent from a young age.
