What is Concert Season?
In the late fall semester, concert season starts and the band gears up for their many concert performances which can include any of the following: Veteran’s Day Concert, Winter Concert, Pops Concert, Percussion Ensemble Concert, UIL Concert and Sight Reading, Jazz Concert, Spring Concert. For each of these that our primary concert ensembles (Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band) participate, the directors program 2 - 4 pieces to prepare them for their UIL program.
What are the uniform requirements for Concert Season?
Uniforms are provided for the students: Either black concert dresses or tuxedos (jacket and pants). The uniforms are fitted and altered by the Band Booster Club.
Family’s will need to provide the following:
For dresses:
Black pantyhose
Formal black closed-toe, soft-sole shoes or flats
For tuxedos:
Solid black undershirt
Black Dress shirt
LONG black socks - no logos
Black formal dress shoes

Am I allowed to attend the UIL Concert?
Yes! Parents and friends are encouraged to attend the UIL performance. The dates, times, and locations will be published on the Band Calendar and in the BoosterHub Newsletter.
What is correct Concert Etiquette?
Please silence your cell phone before entering the auditorium
Only enter the auditorium between performances. You should NOT enter while a band is performing.
Please do not talk during performances.
Clapping at the end of performances is encouraged. Wait for the conductor to put down their baton.
