Science, Technology, and Innovation Policies in Central America

The project titled "Science and Technology Policy Development in Central America" aims to investigate the challenges and difficulties faced by Central American countries in developing effective Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) policies.

The project will analyze the state of STI institutions in selected countries, compare them with more industrialized Latin American countries, and identify successful and unsuccessful policy trends. By examining the available literature and empirical evidence, the project aims to understand the dynamics of science policy design and the interactions between institutions, scientific communities, and society.

The research findings will contribute to addressing the main challenges and constraints of STI policies in Central America, leading to sustainable development and positive impacts on society. The project's outcomes will be relevant to international organizations and development agencies working with less developed nations globally.
