This page covers everything you need to register and officially secure your spot in Georgetown’s High School Summer Programs. You’ll find information on how to register, pay tuition, join a waitlist, switch or drop a course, and understand our refund and scholarship policies.
If you’re signing up for Summer College or College Prep, follow the credit-bearing program instructions. Academy students should review the Academy guidelines.
⚠️ Important: Complete each step in order — set up Duo before enrolling in the Password Management System.
Skipping steps may lock your account & delay registration. Seats cannot be held for students completing password resets.
Step 1: Enroll in Georgetown Duo
Follow UIS instructions to activate your DUO account by following steps 1-9.
Step 2: Install the Duo Mobile App
Log in using your Georgetown Google Apps account, install the app, and link your phone.
Using this link follow steps 10 and onwards to download DUO to your student’s device.
Step 3: Enroll in the Password Management System
Set you three security questions; you’ll need these if you ever forget your password.
If your NetID password expired before you enrolled in the Password Management System:

Include:
Your NetID
GUID (Student ID number - 9 digit number)
Affiliation: Summer High School Student
School: School of Continuing Studies (SCS)
UIS may request photo ID verification from the student and parent.
Georgetown Email Set-Up
ALL students will have access to their Georgetown Email Address!
Your Georgetown Email Address is your NETID@georgetown.edu.
Log in at apps.georgetown.edu
⚠️ Important: All official communications from Georgetown, including housing, health, and class updates, will be sent to this address. Check it daily.
Go to apps.georgetown.edu and click “Log in to Georgetown Google Apps” button
On the new screen, type in your NETID and Password. You may be prompted to verify through the Duo App.
Visit https://uis.georgetown.edu/google-apps/ for step by step instructions on how to log into your Georgetown Email Account.

Tip: You may forward your GU email to a personal account, but you are still responsible for reading official communications sent to your Georgetown inbox.
Did you know- Academy students apply to the Academy as a whole, and once their application is approved they can then register for their desired available course?
Summer Academy courses fill on a first-come, first-serve basis, so we strongly encourage you to register as early as possible.
Important: Your seat is only guaranteed once tuition payment is received in full!
Please follow the steps below to register for your program of choice:
Log in to the MySCS Student Portal, as a returning student, using your NetID and password. Your NetID and password were provided to you when you initiated your application.
If you have forgotten your electronic credentials (NetID), please contact our office directly at highschool@georgetown.edu
If you need to reset your password, please visit Resetting a Forgotten Password on the University Information Services website.
Next, click the “Courses” Subheading to open the “Course Search” page.
On the "Course Search" page:
Type the keyword “Academy”
Click the "Search" button to see a list of available programs.
Select your preferred program.
Click "Add to Cart" next to your preferred program.
If multiple course selections are listed, be sure to select the appropriate class dates. You can view available dates by clicking the “+” to expand the row.
Students who enroll in back-to-back residential programs are eligible for Bridging, which provides room and board at no additional cost between sessions.
Proceed to checkout and complete online credit card payment
Only credit card payments are accepted through the MySCS Student Portal.

Save your payment confirmation page and retain it for your records.
Please Note: Students admitted to the Academies program can register in any Academy that has space remaining. Students can register in and attend back-to-back Academies.
Program Options:
All of our Summer Academy courses offer RESIDENTIAL and limited COMMUTER options.
Residential students are housed in the same residence halls used by Georgetown University undergraduates during the academic year. Residential tuition includes housing and meal plan for the duration of the program. Commuter tuition does not include housing or a meal plan.
💡Tip: Residential programs tend to reach capacity first, so we encourage students to register and complete payment early.
Follow the instructions below to register for waitlist:
Log in to your MySCS Student Portal with your Georgetown NetID and Password
Next, on the top of the screen, click “Courses” to search for your desired course.
On the "Course Search" page: Type in “Academy” and click “Search”. This should bring up all of our High School Programs.
Click on the desired course! This will take you to that course’s “Details” page.
If it’s “at capacity”, you will only be able to click “Add to Waitlist”. Follow prompts to be added to the waitlist.
You should not be prompted to submit any payment to be added to the waitlist. The waitlist capacity is 20 students.
⚠️Being on a waitlist does not guarantee a seat! If a spot opens and you’re enrolled in another Academy, our office will contact you with transfer instructions. You may transfer between Academies and will be billed or refunded any tuition difference.
Follow the instructions below to transfer into an academy:
Log in to your MySCS Student Portal with your Georgetown NetID and password.
Click on My Enrollment History.
Click on the drop-down arrow beside the program.
Click “Transfer” then choose the Academy to transfer into, then Click “Continue Checkout.”
You will be prompted to log in again for security purposes.
Verify all of your information, especially confirming that your address is correct.
Click "Continue Checkout" and proceed to the Confirmation page.
If there is a remaining tuition balance, you will either be refunded the difference, or prompted to pay the balance.
Follow the instructions below to drop your course:
Log into the MySCS Portal as a Returning Student
On the left-hand side of the screen, click on the sub-heading, "My Enrollment History." You will then see the current course for which you are enrolled.
Click the drop down-menu, and select "Drop", and follow the prompts.
Click the submit button.
Tuition refunds will be processed by the Non-Credit Student Accounts Team within 10 business days; however, if payment was received over 180 days before the drop request, the refund process may take longer than 10 business days.
To secure your place in the program and ensure a smooth start to your summer experience, it’s important that you complete the steps below by Registration Deadlines

Step 1: Submit Your Enrollment Response Form & $500 non-refundable Deposit
Log in to your Application Account using the username and password you created for your Summer Programs application.
Click “View Your Decision” to open your acceptance letter.
Select “Reply to Offer” to open your Enrollment Response Form.
Indicate whether you will accept or decline your offer.
Add your electronic signature and click Submit.
You’ll then be prompted to pay the $500 non-refundable deposit to confirm your spot.
⚠️Deadline to confirm your enrollment and submit deposit is MAY 1. Please allow 3 -5 business days after submitting your Enrollment Form for your student record to update. You’ll be able to register for courses after your record is processed
Step 2: Choose Your Courses
Review the approved course list on the Summer College Courses page (College Prep Courses page)
Submit your REQUIRED “Advising Form” to highschooladvising@georgetown.edu for approval.
Must be logged into GU Email to Access
Once approved, you’ll be able to register for your courses in GU Experience.
Step 3: Register for Courses
Registration opens in early February. Courses fill quickly, so register as soon as you’re approved!
Log in to GU Experience and update your password via Georgetown’s NetID Password Management System.
Go to the Students tab → Registration → Register for Classes.
Select the Summer Term and search for your approved courses.(Summer 2026)
Add your APPROVED course(s) to your Registration Cart, then click Submit to finalize.
If you see the message “This page is not enabled for current user role,” your Enrollment Form is still processing. Please allow 2–3 more business days before trying again.
Once registered, you can view your schedule, bill, and tuition payments in GU Experience. Need help? Visit University Registrar’s Website or contact High.School.Advising Organization
Billing Statements are issued electronically through Student Account Services (accessible via GUExperience).
Billing Statements will be available April 2026
Important: If you register before April 1, 2026, your tuition and fees will appear on your account on April 1. If you register on or after April 1, your balance will appear within 24 hours of registration.
To avoid being dropped from your courses, all payments must be received before the first day of class. Unpaid balances may be sent to a collection agency.
All outstanding fees (tuition, housing, pre-college fee, and health insurance, if applicable) must be paid in full before arrival and check-in. YOU WILL NOT BE CHECKED IN IF YOUR PROGRAM COSTS ARE UNPAID.
To view your account activity and pay UBill, please follow these steps:
Log in to GU Experience.
Click on ‘Open Student Accounts Dashboard’
Click on the ‘Student Account Services’ link
This will take you to our secure payment gateway and you may be prompted to enter your NetID & Password
You will next see a row of tabs just under the Georgetown header. Click on ‘Make Payment’
You will see the current account balance populated. However, you can pay a different dollar amount: input the dollar amount you wish to pay, then click ‘Add’, and click ‘Continue’ to proceed.
Select a saved payment method from the pull-down menu or enter the required information for a new payment method and click on the button labeled ‘Select’. Note: Credit Card payments are processed through PayPath, which will launch in a separate window upon clicking ‘Continue to PayPath’ and will allow you to enter the credit card information. Electronic Check payments require confirmation of terms in the ACH Agreement
Review the details of the payment. If you are satisfied, click on ‘Submit Payment’. You will receive an email confirmation of your payment shortly after submission. Your student account will reflect the payment immediately
All payments made online will post to the current term, regardless of the term of the charges in question
Pre-College Fee: $745* - Applied to all Summer Hoyas. Covers extra supervision and student support.
Tuition: Students are assessed tuition based on the number of credits. $2,207* per credit →3 credits = $6,621 for ONE Course
College Prep Fee (College Prep Students - ONLY): Covers HOUSING and College Prep Seminars, $3,978* - College Prep Students ONLY
Housing: Residential Housing Fee of $XXXX - Summer College Students ONLY
International Health Insurance (if applicable): $225* We require all international students to carry sufficient medical insurance coverage for the duration of their program. To assist in meeting this requirement, all international students will be automatically assessed an insurance charge on their student account and will be enrolled in a health insurance plan.

** Please note: failure to pay outstanding student account balances will necessitate the forwarding of the balance to a credit bureau and a collection agency.
During the Add/Drop period, students may change their schedules by adding/dropping courses without penalty.
The last day to add or drop a course is as follows:
Summer College 1 : June 4, 2026
Summer College 3 (Online): June 5, 2026
Summer College 2: July 9, 2026
College Prep: July 9, 2026
⚠️No course changes (adding or dropping) are allowed after the Add/Drop period for each session ends.
If you decide not to attend the Summer College or College Prep program, it is your responsibility to drop your course(s) in GU Experience during the Add/Drop period to avoid tuition charges.
Log in to GU Experience.
Click on the “Student” tab.
Click on the “Registration” link.
Click on the “Select Term” link. A scroll down box will appear: Select the term you would like to register for and then click the “Submit” button.
Click on the “Add or Drop Courses” link. You will then see your Current Schedule displayed.
To drop a course, click on the “Action” scroll down menu to the left of the CRN number. Select “Drop on Web,” and then click on the “Submit Changes” button.
Review your revised Current Schedule to verify the changes you made are reflected.
Remember to log-out when you’re finished.
After the drop has been processed, you will be able to request your refund.
Students with credit balances are entitled to have the overage refunded to them.
Log in to GU Experience.
Click on ‘Open Student Accounts Dashboard’
Click on the ‘Refund Request’ link
Click on ‘Submit’
Revenue and Receivables processes refund requests within three business days of submission.
After the Add/Drop period, you must submit a withdrawal request through GU Experience.
Approved withdrawals will appear on your transcript with a “W” grade.
The last day to withdraw from each session are as follows:
Summer College 1 (Main First Sessions): June 30, 2026
Summer College Online (Cross Session (Online): July 18, 2026
Summer College 2 (Main Second Session): August 4, 2026
College Prep: August 4, 2026
Students who have already taken the final exam will not be permitted to drop or withdraw.
⚠️Students who do not officially withdraw will receive an “F” grade and be charged full tuition.
Courses can only be removed from your record if dropped within the Add/Drop period; after that, all withdrawals are marked with a “W.”
