Dashboard Creation and Data Organization

"Check out the new interactive data dashboard! You can explore bee monitoring data being collected all over Colorado in real time. Be sure to read the instruction box on how to use the dashboard in the bottom left corner.

A huge thank you to Linda Parnes for building the dashboard! Linda is a student employee at the Geospatial Experience Center at Front Range Community College"

Data Organization and Map Creation

The Mountain Area Land trust (MALT) mission is to help preserve natural areas, habitat, ranches and historic lands, and this can be better accomplished using geospatial information systems (GIS) science and technology. MALT had several tasks including:

  • 8 new maps for easements they have acquired over the past year

  • Redesigning their six-county, 90 property service area map.

  • Data and geodatabase management and organization.

GeoEx students completed all these tasks, gaining professional experience and supporting a local land trust.

Denver Regional Council of Governments worked with Student Volunteers to review aerial imagery and preform quality control of planimetric data.
