Core Technology & Facilities

This facility is built to establish versatile compound libraries and to conduct high-throughput analysis for functional discoveries.

Assay Development

The goal of assay development focuses on miniaturizing the assays for 384- and 1536-well plates and on the delivery of robust and well validated assays for HTS.

Lab Automation

The ultra high-throughput screening (uHTS) system at GRC has unsurpassed screening capacity,  accuracy, and flexibility.

Library

Current library contains mostly small molecular compounds with drug‐like properties followed an extended Lipinski’s rules of five (RO5). The collected compounds were reformatted into wells of 384- and 1536-well plates and stored at 1 mM in 100% DMSO.

Data Analysis and Storage

The  informatics capabilities of the uHTS lab include data storage and analysis. Compound and screen data are deposited in databases with applications tailored for statistics and visualization.

Plate Imager and Reader

The fluorescence or luminescence signal of a plate is read by the ViewLux imager and PHERAStar plate reader

Liquid Handling

Versatile liquid handling systems fulfill the needs of transfer liquids between tubes, 96-, 384-, and 1536-well plates
