WHY WE GIVE

At Geneva E-Free, we are blessed by so many faithful givers. We don’t pass an offering plate & rarely ask for money from the stage. And yet, by having simple means available for the giving of offerings and tithes, we are experiencing the blessing of God in our ministry.  

Throughout the entire Bible, God expresses His thoughts regarding our wealth. What we have been given & how we steward it is obviously important to God. Consider a few Biblical themes regarding money & possessions:

• Everything we have comes from God

• Supporting the work of God’s laborers & caring for others who are in need is loving God

• Giving that pleases God flows from a willing & joyful heart

• Giving is a response to seeing God’s blessings

These few observations are from just a brief look at what both the Old and New Testaments of Scripture teach us. 

Giving is being obedient. Giving is an act of trust, thanksgiving, compassion, encouragement and evangelism! When funds are given to Geneva Evangelical Free Church, they are used to support the local ministry programs & services of our own congregation, and passed along to other ministry partners locally & globally.

“As they are able, as the LORD blesses”
