Summary of learning:

Students examined the various quotations from the text "Death of a Salesman" in relation to the themes of capitalism and consumerism.

Tasks to be completed:

Write out five quotations spoken by Willy and explain how they can be linked with the American Dream.

Biology

Summary of Learning - In biology this week students reviewed their learning and understanding of a number of different lung diseases and their causes by sharing student-led presentations. Students also developed their working scientifically skills by analysing data presented as bar charts and identifying the independent and dependent variables in a number of different scenarios (textbook pages 45-49).

Tasks to be completed - Students should complete questions 8-10 on page 51 of their textbook. Students should complete these questions in their notebook and upload their responses to their biology Google Classroom.


Chemistry

Summary of Learning - This week in chemistry students learned about the mole concept and practiced simple mole calculations. Students also learned how to obtain the empirical formula from molecular formula and masses of elements within a compound (textbook pages 44 -47).

Tasks to be completed - Students should complete question 7 on page 61 of their textbook. This should be completed on the Google Doc assigned to them on their chemistry Google Classroom.

Physics

Summary of Learning - In physics this week students learned about reflection and refraction (textbook pages 102-103).

Tasks to be completed - Students should complete the wave speed worksheet shared with them on their physics Google Classroom.

Geography

Summary of learning :

The coastal ecosystem of the world.

Task to be completed: Explain the process of the food web of the coral reef ecosystem.

Summary of learning -

In ICT this week students will understand and analyze the use of the network, they can explain the advantages and disadvantages of a network, stand alone with other devices and factors that could affect the performance of a network.

Task to be completed-

Students should research about advantages and disadvantages of network in PowerPoint presentation and students also create a table to list down the factors that influence the speed and volume of data transfer.


Business
