It was a pleasure to introduce the inaugural GIS Model United Nations conference last Friday. I am so impressed that our students, supported by Ms Helen M, Ms Rena and Ms Michaela, organised such an amazing event during their busy school lives. The MUN offers countless opportunities to enhance presentation and communication skills, and to give students confidence to take risks within a safe and supportive environment. Thank you in particular to the Secretary Generals, Elisavet P T and Zaineb Z (both Grade 10). 

On Monday, we enjoyed a Parent Engagement event, and were honoured to welcome GEMS Chairman and Founder, Mr Sunny Varkey, CEO Mr Dino Varkey, and Chief Education Officer Ms Lisa Crausby OBE, along with esteemed members of our corporate team. My huge thanks to the many parents present who asked insightful, balanced and incisive questions. We were able to celebrate considerable achievements, and also share plans for improvement.
