Hello all,
Next week will be the official trials for the badminton squad.
The trials are taking place earlier this year, so that the squad have time to prepare for the competitions.
Please read the information below for the details for this.
Grade 9-12 Tuesday 18th February
Grade 6-8 Wednesday 19th February
The trial will take place in the new sports hall.
Please meet at the Indoor Sports Hall (ISH) at the end of the day. From there you will be taken to the New Sports Hall (NSH).
GIS Jaguar Athletes Shine at GAAC Tournament in Qatar!
We are incredibly proud of our GIS Jaguar players and coaches from grades 9-12, who showcased their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship at the GAAC (Gulf Athletics & Activities Conference) tournament in Qatar! A total of 47 students and 6 dedicated coaches represented GIS across four basketball and football teams, competing against seven other top schools from the region.
Our Jaguars played with heart and determination, making our school and community proud. Congratulations to all our teams for their outstanding performances!

This tournament was especially meaningful for our seven incredible seniors, as it marked the culmination of their athletic careers at GIS. We thank them for their leadership, dedication, and excellence both on and off the pitch and court. Your legacy will continue to inspire future Jaguars, and we are so grateful for the passion and sportsmanship you've shown throughout the years.

Thank you to all our athletes, coaches, and supporters for an amazing Term 1! From thrilling victories to valuable lessons, Jaguar Sports showcased excellence. Good luck to Varsity Basketball and DASSA Cup football teams as they continue training and competing until their final games.

Trials for Term 2 squads begin January 6th. Primary parents can sign students up on GEMS Connect, while secondary students can register using the Google Form below. Don’t miss your chance to join a team!

This weekend, our Jaguars made history by competing in the first-ever GAAC Varsity Volleyball Tournament! Both teams displayed incredible skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, making our school proud! 💙💛
🏅 Girls Team: Finished 4-1, securing an impressive 2nd place out of 8 schools! 💪
🏅 Boys Team: Battled hard and finished in 5th place with a 2-2 record! 🔥

👉 The entire Girls Volleyball Team for receiving the Sportsmanship Award, chosen by the players of the other 7 schools. Your grace on and off the court truly sets the standard!
This weekend, our Secondary Boys and Girls Swim Teams made history by competing in the first-ever GAAC Swim Meet all the way in Kuwait! 🏊♂️🏊♀️ The journey was worth it, as our Jaguars made waves, finishing with an incredible 3rd Place Overall! 🎉
