Head of Secondary School's Message 

Dear Parents & Guardians

As we close off the first week of Ramada, I would like to congratulate our students for the ease with which they transitioned into our new timings. Well done!

This week our Grade 12 students received their graduation gowns and had their graduation headshots taken. This is always an exciting time, as, they realise that the conclusion of their formal education is near, and the anticipation that, what lies ahead is within reach, sets in. We will continue to celebrate the journey of our Grade 12 students as soon as we return from the upcoming break. We will formally send our Class of 2024 off in a fitting manner – watch this space!

As an IB school with multiple pathways, we have partnerships with providers based around the world. We recently underwent a verification visit from one such provider, Pearson, for our Btec pathway. I would like to publically recognise the work of the staff in the lead up to this visit. Led by Mr Ged, the team performed extremely well, with such comments as the standard of marking is exceptionally high… never seen such detailed feedback provided to students in both UK and international settings for the BTEC. This is fantastic praise for our team and wonderful acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication shown to our students. Well done to all involved!

On the topic of appreciating hard work and effort, Mr Harry, Mr Nic and I had the pleasure of attending the Grade 6 Assembly this week, where we celebrated the achievements of this excellent group. There were numerous students who received a Bronze award and we even handed out the first ever GIS Gold Award. For a Gold Award to be given, a student needs to have received 75 House points! At this stage of the year, this is a wonderful achievement. Keep going Grade 6, we are very proud of the effort you are making!
