Grade 10

Grade 10 Drama students impressed some of our Grade 6 and 7 students with their incredible miming skills this week as they showcased their mime pieces. The theme of these mime pieces was ‘Living a Healthy Lifestyle’ and the aim was to promote awareness and encouragement to our younger students to lead a healthy lifestyle by eating well, exercising regularly, managing daily tasks efficiently and getting sufficient sleep. Thank you Grade 10 for influencing and entertaining us!

Model United Nations

Grades 6-11

Last weekend was one of the highlights of our MUN calendar as we  attended the annual conference in Gems World Academy. Our delegates and chairs  participated in debates, negotiations and discussions on the theme of ‘The Catalyst of our Generation: The Technological Revolution’.  The conference was also attended by  his Excellency Ban Ki-moon, the eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations who gave a keynote address during the opening ceremony.  Despite the second day of the conference having to be moved online because of the weather, it did not dampen our spirits.  Several of our students were honored with awards.

CAS Project. Ramadan Book Drive.

Grade 12

As we prepare to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, let's ignite the spirit of generosity within our school community. From March 18th till April 5th, we invite you to participate in our community book donation drive, aligning with the values of compassion and empathy that Ramadan and G.I.S. embodies. Let's come together to share the joy of reading with those who may not have access to educational resources. Whether it's novels, textbooks, or any other educational materials, your contributions will make a meaningful impact. Drop off your books in the designated boxes at both the MYP and PYP canteens and the main reception and let's spread the blessings of knowledge and unity during this sacred time. Thank you for being a part of this noble endeavour, and may this Ramadan be a source of inspiration and blessings for us all!
