Week Twenty Three - March 8th, 2024
Dear Parents & Guardians
Wow! What a week! The cast and crew of our School production, Matilda, amazed us this week.
The casting, the props, the talent, the collaboration, the risk taking, the singing and dancing, the coordination, the teamwork, the lighting & sound, the swift swapping of props and the inclusion of students across various year groups; was outstanding and a credit to the hard work that this dedicated team have devoted to this year’s masterpiece.
To each student involved - I say, thank you for entertaining us, for bringing smiles to our faces and for dazzling us with your remarkable talent. To the multitude of teaching and non-teaching staff who came together to make this event happen, your generosity in supporting our students is commended. To Ms Ellie, Ms Emma, Ms Irasa and Ms Sam, bravo to you! Your knowledge and understanding; ability to bring the best out in our students, and your joie de vivre in going about this journey, is a credit to you! We are so delighted that you are part of our community; and we cannot wait for next year’s show!
Highlighting some of our amazingly talented female staff today seems only fitting on this International Women’s Day. The theme this year is ‘Inspiring Inclusion’, and this is an aspect of our school community that we do extremely well, something I and others are very, very proud of. I am convinced that everyone reading this can recall a time when a significant female inspired us to be better, to grow and to achieve. Today, we acknowledge the efforts of these wonderful women, and we thank them for all that they do for us.
Finally this week, I would like to thank Ms Nomah and her team for helping us to welcome Ramadan this morning. As we head into this very special time of the year for our community, I thank you for reminding us of the importance of giving and sharing with those around us.
Enjoy your week ahead.
Ramadan Mubarak
Kind regards
Amanda Murphy
