Making Conclusions and Taking Action
Making Conclusions: This phase is a transition between "Think" and "Do." Students synthesize their findings into coherent conclusions, reflecting on their learning journey. They start to consider potential actions based on their research.
Taking Action: Fully within the "Do" part of the framework, this final phase is where students apply what they've learned, planning and implementing actions to address their findings. It's about moving from insight to real-world impact.
Making Conclusions:
How do our conclusions inspire us to act?
In what ways can our findings contribute to solving or addressing the issues we explored?
Taking Action:
What specific action, big or small, can we take to apply our learning?
How will we measure the impact of our action?
Making Conclusions:
I can summarize what we found in our project, pointing out the important discoveries and what we plan to do next. (Reflective/Communication Skills)
I can look back at our project, see what went well, and think about what we could do better. (Thinker/Thinking Skills)
Taking Action:
I can come up with a plan for an action based on what we learned, making sure it's something we can really do and will make a difference. (Principled/Self- Management Skills)
I can actively participate in sharing our project and actions during the exhibition, effectively communicating our journey and impact. (Caring/Communication Skills)
Making Conclusions:
Adapt Presentations: Learn to adjust presentations for different audiences, ensuring clarity and engagement whether speaking to peers or adults.
Feedback Sessions: Practice presentations with different groups, gathering feedback to refine your message and delivery.
Taking Action:
Choose Your Action: Based on your research, decide on an action you can take. This could be participating in community services, advocating for a cause, making lifestyle changes, promoting social justice, or working towards environmental stewardship.
Plan and Implement: Outline a plan for your chosen action. Whether it's a small step you can take at home or a bigger project involving your school or community, plan how you will make it happen.
Reflective Sharing: Share your exhibition learning and experiences, and the impact of your project with different audiences. Tailor your presentation to ensure it's understandable and engaging for everyone, from young students to adults.
