1. When is the deadline for signing up for an audition?

The deadline is Thursday 27th September at 3pm.

2. How do I sign up?

3: Can I audition for more than one character?

The maximum number of auditions you can do is three.

4. Do I have to sing as part of my audition?

Yes. All cast members will participate in the ensemble when they are not performing on stage.

5. Do I have to sing even if I am auditioning for a non-singing character?

Yes. You may also be singing as part of the ensemble when you are not on stage.

6. When are character auditions?

Character auditions will take place on the 7th - 11th October - before school, at lunch times and after school.

7. When are dancing auditions?

Dancing auditions will take place on the 14th - 18th October - at lunch times and after school.

8. Where will auditions take place?

The Black Box Theater, First Floor.

9. Can I sign up late for an audition?

No. However, for new or late-joining students we will make accommodations depending on the time of year.

10. When will I receive my audition date and time?

You will receive your audition date and time by Sunday 30th September at the latest.

11. How will I know when my audition is?

Your audition time and date will be sent to the email address provided at the time of sign-up.

12. Can I change the time of my audition?

No. Please note we have a busy schedule of auditions in place and times cannot be changed.

13. Where can I find the audition scripts?

Please click on the link Audition Material. Please ensure that you have printed the FULL AUDITION SCRIPT which was posted on Thursday 20th September.

14. Can the auditions be printed at school?

Auditionees will be expected to print the audition scripts outside of school.

15. When will the cast list be announced?

The full cast list will be announced on Sunday 28th October at 3.30pm.

16. Where will the cast list be posted?

The full cast list will be posted on the website under 'Cast List' at 3.30pm, and posted outside the Black Box Theater.

17. When do rehearsals begin?

Rehearsals will begin for all cast members on Sunday 4th November at 3.30 - 4.15pm and will take place every Sunday. After the Winter Break, rehearsals will become more frequent and will be outside of regular school hours. We will also have two Friday rehearsals prior to the performances - Friday 15th and Friday 22nd March. By Sunday 4th November, the full rehearsal schedule leading up to the performances will be posted.

18. Is there an ECA bus on Sundays?

No. ECA buses operate on Monday and Wednesdays only. Collection of students will need to be arranged by parents.

19. When are the performance dates?

Monday 25th March 6:30pm

Tuesday 26th March 2:30pm

Wednesday 27th March 6:30pm

20. Who can become a member of the stage crew?

Only students in Grades 6-9 can become a member of the stage crew.

21. How do I become a member of the stage crew?

You must sign up by emailing Ms. Emma e.taaffe_gis@gemsedu.com. Stage crew roles are decided on a first-come-first-served basis.

22. When do stage crew responsibilities begin?

Stage crew will begin on Sunday 3rd of February. Stage crew are required to attend all scheduled rehearsals.
