DAA uses various forms of communication to ensure that our families stay engaged.
Parent teacher communication in the Elementary (KG-grade 5) is via Seesaw, which is a student e-portfolio as well as Google Classroom.
Elementary parents can also expect to receive direct emails from teachers, and a bi-weekly elementary e-newsletter via MailChimp.

Middle School Parents can expect to receive grade level newsletters every two weeks, alternated with the DAA SPOTS Newsletter.
Teachers across grade levels also use Google Classroom to connect with students and parents.
PowerSchool is our electronic student management system where student information is collected and stored. This platform is accessible to Middle and High School Parents for access to student information like grades and assignment scores. You will receive an email from PowerSchool with the Access ID of your child in the final week of August. If you have not received this email by the second week of school, please contact psparenthelp@powerschool.com. The parent account guide and how to set up your account can be found here.
All-school communication via our DAA SPOTS Newsletter is shared with parents every two weeks and provides whole school and divisional updates. You can bookmark the website and check it regularly. Updated calendar of events, important divisional announcements and highlights are shared through this platform.
SMS messaging is used for reminders and emergency messaging. Please ensure you inform receptionist_daa@gemsedu.com with updated UAE mobile numbers of both parents/guardians. You can check with our receptionists, Communications Officer or our Admissions Team to ensure your contact details are correct on file.
GEMS Parent Username and Password:
The GEMS Connect App can be used to pay fees, top up your Slices lunch account, register for the bus and complete your health forms.
All newly enrolled parents will receive an automated email from the GEMS ICT Helpdesk with their GEMS Username and Password to access the GEMS Parent Portal, GEMS Connect App and GEMS Rewards.
If you are not able to see all of your DAA children upon login, please contact our registrars at registrar_daa@gemsedu.com.
If you have not received the automated email with username and password from GEMS ICT by August, please email receptionist_daa@gemsedu.com who can provide you with these details.
An automated email from GEMS ICT with student account credentials are also sent to parents.
