Secwépemc storyteller Kenthen Thomas, shares a Syilx story titled, "How Foods Were Given." This story alongside his introduction looks at the interconnection between the traditional stories, the language of the indigenous peoples and the land itself. It also gives us the lessons that we are no more important than the plants and animals that we share the land with. Lastly, we also learn that even the smallest voice can sometimes make the biggest impact.
