Tools FOR School Librarians
The GDOE School Librarians began their education career as teachers in the regular classroom. With this experience and the knowledge gained through their Library and Information Science courses, school librarians are key collaborators with the school community. They collate volumes of print and electronic resources, direct patrons to appropriate digital sites, and assist in the practical use of sources to support teachers in their instructional delivery and students in their academic progress.
The school librarians are designers of lessons and events which impact patrons in their current pursuit of knowledge and as they advance to each grade level. This website hosts library administrative tools to guide the service of GDOE School Librarians in their pivotal role in transforming learning and learners.
