DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY
The Department of Geography has the honor to be one of the oldest departments of Govt. Graduate College of Science, Wahdat Road, Lahore. The history of the department can be followed back to 1973. Since then Geography department has been imparting knowledge at inter and graduation level. Geography had been taught at graduation level (2 years degree) till 2011, after that geography has been offered at BS level (4 years degree) in different disciplines as minor subject. The department launched BS (4 Years) degree Program in 2022. Its privilege for geography department to be affiliated with Punjab university for BS programe in Lahore Division. The department owes a great deal of gratitude to the eminent professors like Prof. Dilasa khan Marwat (Late), Prof. Khalid Shah (Late), Prof. Agha Abdul Hameed (Late), Prof. Salamat Ali Rao (Late) and Prof. Muhammad Khalid, who contributed towards the progress and betterment of department.
