Arabic is a dynamic international language of the world, spoken natively by more than 300 million Arabs living in 22 states; and used by the UNO officially in their organizations as one of the most widespread languages of the world. Moreover, it is also religious language for more than one billion Muslims of various languages and origins in countries across the globe.The Department aspires to promote Arabic language and literature and highlight the primacy and relevance of Arabic language and literature in the contemporary world.The mission of the Department of Arabic is to teach Arabic in both its diachronic and synchronic perspectives and enable the students to be fluent in both spoken and written Arabic.
The Department of Islamic studies was established in the year 1973. Since then, it has been imparting Islamic education at Inter and Degree level. In 2010, BS 4-Year Degree Program was also started in Islamic Studies. Its Faculty members are experienced in teaching at BS level as compare to all other Colleges.
