Please review the slide deck from 7 Aug with notes on dressing appropriately for PT. As discussed during class, all cadets must wear:
closed-toed athletic shoes that can be creased
Athletic socks
stretchy, athletic bottoms that fully cover to mid-thigh with a waistband that does not roll (DO NOT WEAR SKIRTS)
crew-neck t-shirts or long-sleeved shirts--no tank tops
If you must pull, move, or adjust your clothes during a push-up or squat, it is not suitable for PT. We recommend you test your PT outfit by doing a squat, sit up, and push-up at home before coming to school. Cadets who do not dress out according to these guidelines will not be permitted to participate and will earn a 0 as their grade for both Dress Out and Participation. It is likely you will fail the course if you refuse to Dress Out. Cadets who would like to leave a complete change of clothes and shoes in the classroom to change into for PT are welcome to do this. Cadet Challenge will take place on 17 and 18 August. We will complete all events except the 1-mile run on 17 August. The 1-mile run will take place on 18 August. Information and proper form videos are available in Google Classroom.
These expectations are non-negotiable and are consistent throughout the semester. There are no makeup assignments for missed PT or Cadet Challenge days.
