Day 1: Wake and Shake – As soon as you get out of bed, shake your body any way you like for 10 seconds. Are you awake now? Good! Now jump up and down 10 times.
Day 2: Play Catch – Grab any kind of ball and play Catch with a family member. Keep your eyes on the ball and catch it with your hands, not your body. If you do not have a ball, make a paper ball.
Day 3: Read and Move – Pick a book to read and select an “action” word that will be repeated often. When you read the action word, stand up and sit down.
Day 4: Jumping Rope - If you have a jump rope, jump 10 times with a break and then do 15 more (25 total). If you do not have a jump rope, jump with an imaginary rope.
Day 5: Dance, Dance – Put on your favorite song, or turn on the radio. Dance however you like during the entire song. Give it all you’ve got! Ask your parents to join in.
Day 6: Walking Race – Pick a distance and challenge a parent or a friend to a speed-walking race. No running!
Day 7: Around the House – See how many times you can run around the outside of your house without stopping. Check your pulse when you finish.
Day 8: Flex Alphabet – Try to flex your body to look like every letter in the alphabet. Ask your parents to join in.
Day 9: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes / Naming Body Parts - If you have Internet, click on The Learning Station - Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. Have fun moving and grooving.
Day 10: Dreaming of PE and Mrs. Gore - Do 5 sit-ups and 5 push-ups before going to bed. Sweet dreams about staying fit! Mrs. Gore will be dreaming of you.
Don't forget to log in your activities for any extracurricular sports teams you play on for the Recreation Department, Church Leagues, Travel Teams, Dance Teams, Gymnastic Teams, Swim Teams, etc.
