A place to curate student work, develop digital portfolios, communicate with families, publish blogs, flip lessons, and inspire students' voices. This platform is currently being used by GCSD teachers in grades 1-2.

What does it do?

  • Students have the ability and tools to explain their thought process and reflect on their learning while allowing for integration with other teaching-related materials (extended/virtual classroom). Seesaw can also support and encourage connections within the classroom and beyond.

  • Teachers can assign a variety of activities to differentiate learning.

  • Teachers are able to engage students in their learning process, explain learning, collaborate

  • Show evidence of student progress and learning (progress monitor and a collection of work for the teachers to reflect and assess)

  • Parent communication


  • Students are able to show what they know through notes, photos/videos, drawings, files, and have a recording feature to tell the teacher how/why/etc.

  • Students are able to demonstrate what they can do - competencies.

  • Students can share/network within their school or globally (blogs & GRA).

  • Students can develop and apply their digital citizenship skills within an authentic environment.
