The United Nations has formed three pillars of sustainability: economic, social, and environmental. The pillars are a simpler way to define sustainability, and what the term entails, and are a foundation for sustainable development and action around the globe.
The UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals
No poverty
Zero hunger
Good health and well-being
Quality Education
Gender Equality
Clean water and sanitation
Affordable and clean energy
Decent work and economic growth

Sustainable cities and communities
Responsible consumption and production
Climate action
Life below water

Partnerships for the goals
For my project, I studied flour, sugar, butter, eggs, chocolate, and vanilla through a large majority of the UN's 2030 Pillars of Sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals, researching specifically on issues regarding agriculture, animal welfare, and social justice.
