Online portfolios are often called digital portfolios or e-portfolios, among other terms that can be used interchangeably. Ultimately, the digital portfolio is your "brag book," and yes, that is a real thing! A brag book is a portfolio of documents such as letters of reference, ranking reports, and training certificates that document your professional achievements.
Your digital student portfolio, or e-portfolio, is a compilation of work and evidence assembled for the purpose of (1) evaluating the quality of your work, learning progress, and achievements; (2) determining whether you have met learning standards for your coursework, leadership promotion, and graduation; (3) to help you reflect on your goals and progress as learners; and (4) to create a lasting archive of work products, accomplishments, and other documentation from your years in band.
This portfolio will be immediately available for reference when you graduate, apply for colleges or simply so you may to keep a detailed memento of your achievements. Your e-Portfolios may also be presented - publicly or privately - to parents, teachers, and community members as part of a demonstration of learning, exhibition, or capstone project.
Additionally, your Digital Student Portfolios are not strictly limited to required content. You may also include pre-approved presentations, blogs, or websites that feature Graham County School Band related content such as student-created videos, multimedia presentations, spreadsheets, websites, photographs or other digital artifacts of your time in band.
