Absences
We appreciate when parents reach out to let us know, personally, if their child will be absent and why. Sometimes parents tell the school, but the front desk can get busy and forget to tell us!
Please remember that any absence 3 days or longer needs to have a doctor's note, or your student will need to get an Independent Study packet (which you can get from the front desk prior to the absence) to complete and give to the school upon their return.
For any absence, your student is responsible for:
getting any class notes they may have missed
catching up on learning any missed material
making up any missed tests upon their return
This can be a LOT for a student to make up while still trying to keep up with what the class is currently learning, so please minimize the absences (and early dismissals) from class as much as possible! Try to schedule vacations, dentist visits, and doctor visits to weekends, after school on minimum days, or during holidays.
