Gloucester has had an FFA chapter since the 1950's. Our chapter has had many successes in CDEs and LDEs and sent many students to competitions. We participate in the community and partner with local businesses to further agriculture and promote opportunities for students to become productive citizens.
All students enrolled in agriculture classes can be active in FFA. There is a $12 membership fee per year. Students can participate in FFA during meetings, fundraisers, community events, and competitions. Students also have opportunities for leadership camps and events. Some of the teams we have had include tractor driving, tractor troubleshooting, forestry, floriculture, hippology, horse judging, vet science, and ag mechanics. There are many more in addition to this. Students have attended the Guinea Jubilee, Christmas and Daffodil festival parades, and Bethel and Achilles elementary math and science nights.
