Hello Everyone!
First and foremost, our district has decided to move in the direction of online-educational resources as our main focus for educating our students while they are at home. With that being said, our Dragon Links webpage can be found on the 3rd grade resources webpage. This webpage is where you can find resources that we have used in the classroom all year long. We do have packets available if you need them.
MobyMax - Great for Reading and Math; we’ve taken placement testing on this site to ensure the instruction is geared toward what the student’s needs on an individual level. -- We will be assigning more skills to their assignments bank to help gear their learning direction.
Epic! - Online books; read alouds and individual reading (Miss Rose's class code: etk5659) (Mrs. Meeks' class code: udl8622)
Prodigy - Math based learning (the kids adore this one)
XtraMath - Staying fluent in Math Facts is crucial (we will check periodically to see if they’ve passed and can move their levels)
National Geographic Kids - Science inquiry, videos, and all kid friendly!
OST - The Ohio State Testing portal has practice tests (just click ‘sign-in’, do not worry about picking guest user)
Splash Math - Another practice site for Math in game form!
At this point in the school year, students should have their log-ins and passwords memorized to log into these programs. It should be second nature to them since MobyMax, Epic!, Prodigy, XtraMath, and Splash Math are used regularly throughout the week. If you are struggling to log-in or your student has forgotten their passwords, we will be more than happy to assist you in getting those passwords and any ‘tech support’ with logging in.
Last but not least, we know this is a trying time for everyone and emotions are high. We are here to help in any capacity that we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out, ask questions, and voice concerns. We will do our best to give you an answer or find someone who can. Also, please stay tuned for a ‘suggested schedule’. As a teacher, we know how important our routine here at school, and just how accustomed your student has become to it. Please read over the schedule when it becomes available and take it as a suggestion; hopefully it can be used as a tool to set structure for the days home and help ease your mind, as well as your student’s.
Love,
Miss Rose
