WMS Band Spring Concert

Tuesday, May 13th

Students arrive by 7:10pm

Concert Starts at 7:30pm

6th Grade - Dress Nice

7th & 8th Grade - Band Polo & Black on Bottom

Concerts/Performances

Each band will participate in a number of concerts throughout the year (at least 2 in a normal year), and dates will be announced as far in advance as possible.  

Concerts are mandatory and worth a grade for the students. A concert grade is weighted like a unit test or exam for a class.  It is the expectation that all students participate in the concerts as performing for an audience is a part of the music curriculum, and an important aspect of learning music.   In order to sound our best, we need all students present at the performances! 

Students who have an excused absence from a concert will have the opportunity to make up the concert points.  Excused absences include: illness, family emergency or prior written communication.  Please communicate if there is an issue with a concert date as soon as you are able.  

An unexcused absence is any absence without communication from a parent or guardian.  A student with an unexcused absence from a performance will earn a “0” for the concert.
