What is Solo & Ensemble?
Solo and Ensemble is an optional event where students learn new music to play in front of an expert on their instrument to receive feedback on how to improve as a musician. Students who do especially well can earn a medal for their performance. It is a fantastic way for students to further enhance their learning beyond the classroom. This is also a great way for students to learn solo music or work in a small group.
When and where is it held?
Saturday, Dec. 6th at North Branch High School. Students will provide their own transportation to and from the event. Most events take place in the morning (usually between 8:00am-noon) and families can plan to spend about an hour at North Branch.
For instance, if a student has a 9:15am solo, their day would look something like:
SAMPLE SCHEDULE
8:45am - arrive at North Branch, find warm up room
9:00am - get instrument out of case, prepare for warm up
9:05am - warm up
