Duke TIP Talent Search

Each Fall, the Duke University invites eligible students to participate in their Talent Identification Program(TIP). All 7th grade students are screened according to their 5th and 6th grade standardized test scores (such as from EOG and IQ tests). A student must score in the 95th percentile or higher on a qualifying test to be eligible for the program. To give a student insight into his or her academic abilities, the program allows these 7th graders to take either the ACT or SAT college admission exam.

The Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving academically gifted and talented youth. Duke TIP works with students, their families, and educators to identify, recognize, challenge, engage, and help students reach their highest potential.
