Calling all drummers!

We are so excited to offer this new and unique opportunity to the students of Belmont Central Elementary School!

Through this experience, students will learn technique, history, and musicianship as it applies to the African and Cuban Drums that we own here at BCES.

The music is entirely improvised through a process of group interaction. Students will use their listening and playing skills to make musical connections and express themselves on their instrument.

This is intended to be a fun experience where students get to PLAY and EXPLORE their own musical ideas...more so than they already do in regular music class! I will be moderating, modeling, and managing the Drum Circle to make sure that everyone participates fully in a safe and open environment.

We are going to have an amazing time making music together and I look forward to seeing all the drummers EVERY Friday morning!
